August trip to the Belvoir castle

Do you have a few days off next August? Why not to spend them  in a romantic castle surrounded by nature and beauty?
You will definitely do not want to miss the chance to visit the Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire.  Inside the castle are many notable collections, from the military treasures in the guardroom to the stunning staterooms with their impressive period art, tapestries, furniture and sculpture.
The Castle contains many notable pieces of art and includes paintings by Gainsborough, Reynolds, Holbein and Poussin. It houses outstanding collections of furniture, porcelain, silks, tapestries, French furniture and Italian sculpture. Sculpture extends outside into the Rose and Statue Gardens which are elegantly laid out round a central fountain. The Statue Collection terraced into the hillside includes work by Caius, Cibber – Sculptor to Charles II.
And if you just want to spend the day outside, some beautiful gardens are there to let you enjoy a few days rest!
